Serving Animals and People in Allegany County of New York
The SPCA's mission is to attend to the needs of the abandoned, neglected, and abused companion animals of Allegany County. Change is constant at the SPCA shelter. Animals in great need of care and compassion continually arrive as others are adopted out into their forever homes. The furry faces may change, but the need never goes away.

WHAT? 45 POT-BELLY PIGS??
This is a first for the SPCA to have 45 pot-belly pigs....let alone having a 'pig' neuter clinic day at our facility! Back in September we brought in 27 pigs that were all living in a camper together...and guess what all the female pigs turned out being pregnant...now we have 45 pigs and more are on the way!! A very special thanks to Dr. Alex Navarro of the Perry Vet Clinic for coming to our rescue to perform neuter surgeries on 10 of our male pot-belly pigs and piglets. Of course we were excited & happy to help out the Dr. with our staff: Dr. Graf, Olivia, Chelsea, Lucas, Crystal and Terry in prepping the piggies for surgery and giving them all the TLC needed in their recovery after surgery.
If you are interested in adopting pig, we have 7 piggies left that are available for adoption. Just email us at SPCAallegany@gmail.com or call us at 585-593-2200 ext 2 for more info. AND....If you would like to help out with the expenses for the care of our pigs and piglets and you would like to make a donation to our SPCA "Piggy Bank" just click on our DONATE button below:

The construction of our Spay/Neuter clinic was made possible by the ASPCA's NY State Animal Population Control Program grant. We received $100,000 grant in 2015, along with a very generous donor who matched the grant, which enabled us to start building the clinic. In 2017 we were approved for another $204,932 to complete the interior construction of the clinic along with outfitting the clinic with the surgical equipment needed. Our clinic has been critical in helping to control the animal population in Allegany County. Special thanks to the ASPCA and to all of our donors who have helped to make this dream happen!
